The plan was made for those who feel "oppressed by the privileged status that religion holds over sexual orientation."

If the Supreme Court sides against LGBT rights in the upcoming case involving a Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple, The Satanic Temple has a simple suggestion: Request your homophobic baker make a cake for Satan, instead.

The political activist group released a statement that says a win for baker Jack Phillips is likely, since sexual orientation isn’t a protected class under the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and explained that they came up with a plan “for those who feel alienated or oppressed by the privileged status that religion holds over sexual orientation.”

“Because religion is a protected class, a baker may refuse service to LGBTQ people, but they may not refuse service based upon someone’s religion,” said TST spokesperson Lucien Greaves in the statement. “If they aren’t willing to make a cake for same-sex unions, let’s have them make a cake to honor Satan instead.”
