The first tenet of The Satanic Temple states that “[o]ne should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason,” and it is with this in mind that the Arizona chapter has taken up its latest community action.

Every year litter and road debris poisons waterways and soil, is consumed by wildlife, and causes 25,000 accidents across the country. In Arizona, we clear 590 tons of trash at a cost $3,000,000 and 150,000 hours of labor. It is our chapter’s wish to help other Arizonans enjoy a clean and beautiful state.

Over the next 7 months our chapter will undertake monthly cleanings along our stretch of roadway. This will culminate in a sign showing others our dedication to Keep Arizona Beautiful.

If you wish to help us meet our goal please contact the Safety Coordinator, America Darling Curl.

We cannot thank those who participated enough for dedicating their Saturday morning to helping keep our roadways free of clutter. The next cleanup will be sometime in October! Please let us know if y0u would like to participate.

The second Highway to Hell cleanup went smoothly! Now that it is getting later in the year, it was tolerable cleaning outside even as it got later in the morning. We finished as scheduled and had a nice meal at a restaurant nearby. The next cleanup will be in late November! Please let us know if you would like to participate!
